A Bowdoin man was critically injured Saturday night in a one-car crash in Lisbon.

Lisbon police said Frederick Field, 52, was flown to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, where he was in critical condition with head injuries.

Field’s 2007 Honda Element crashed at the intersection of Ridge Road and Gould Road in Lisbon and landed in some trees about 11:30 p.m., police said. A female passenger, Erica McIver, 43, of Bowdoin, managed to crawl out of the car to the roadside.

Police said alcohol and speed appeared to be factors in the accident, which remains under investigation.
