Caitlin Tycz, Brunswick swimming: Named Swimmer of the Meet after leading Brunswick to a fourth straight KVAC title Saturday in Bath. The junior won the 200-yard freestyle and 100 backstroke, led off the winning 200 free relay and anchored a 400 free relay that set a state record of 3:39.91 and included Emma Blair, Lynsie Russell and Alex Morse.

HONORABLE MENTION

Emily Esposito, Gorham basketball: The junior guard scored 24 points in helping the Rams finish the regular season unbeaten at 18-0 with a 68-33 victory over Windham.

Marshall Lowery, Kennebunk swimming: A senior, she led Kennebunk to the South Southwesterns title with victories in the 100 backstroke (57.64) and 200 individual medley (2:11.84), and swam the lead leg of the winning 200 medley relay.

Elisabeth Redwood, Bonny Eagle track: The senior sprinter won the 400 meters at the SMAA championships with a Maine all-time best time of 57.52 seconds. Redwood also won the 55 (7.60) and 200 (26.10). Her time in the 400 broke her own SMAA record of 58.8.

Colin Tardiff, Scarborough indoor track: The senior distance runner for the Red Storm captured the 800 meters (2:01.36) and the mile (4:32.81) with ease to help lift Scarborough to the SMAA championship.

HONORABLE MENTION

Patrick Grant, Yarmouth hockey: A senior forward, Grant scored two goals and added an assist in a 5-1 victory over Brunswick, and had another assist in a 3-2 victory over Portland/Deering to keep the Clippers (13-3) atop the Class B South standings.

Nate Samson, Brunswick swimming: In leading the Dragons to a fifth straight KVAC championship, the senior set a state record of 1:52.03 in the 200-yard individual medley, won the 100 backstroke (49.91) and led off the winning 400 free relay.

Tyus Sprague-Ripley, Massabesic basketball: The senior scored 19 points to lead the Mustangs to a victory over Sanford in the regular-season finale. Sprague-Ripley helped Massabesic to a 14-4 record after the Mustangs had won only eight games over the previous five seasons.
