Ernest R. “Ernie” Miranda Jr.
GORHAM – Ernie Miranda, 74, of Gorham; Sharon, Mass.; and The World; passed away peacefully on Oct. 14, 2025.
Born in Boston, Mass. on Dec. 16, 1950, he was the enigmatic eldest brother of Timothy, Michael and Mark Miranda and Susan Briggs; beloved and entertaining uncle of Tim and LeeAnne Miranda, Jim and Alison Briggs, Nathaniel Miranda and Bridget and Brian Miranda; best friend and confidant of Peter Amell, of Gorham.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ernest and Anne Miranda.
Ernie’s family wishes to thank Dr. Kasey Little; Maine Medical Center, Portland; Pinnacle Health and Rehab, South Portland and Compassus Hospice, Scarborough for their kind and compassionate care.
Special thanks to Mary, Maria and the team at Maide For You in Gorham for keeping a watchful eye on Ernie for the past eight years.
A graveside service will be held at a later date.
