Gary C. Yates
CASCO – Gary C. Yates, 78, of Casco, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 7, 2025.
He was born Nov. 12, 1946, in Calais, to Coburn and Cora Yates of Grand Lake Stream.
Gary proudly served his country in the United States Navy after graduating from Windham High School in 1965. He was stationed in Norfolk, Va. aboard the USS Taconic (AGC-17).
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 40 years, Sandra Yates; two sisters, Leona Laverdiere of Livermore Falls, and Gail Young of Lebanon; as well as a loving blended family of seven children; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
Gary had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and most of all spending time with his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday Oct. 12 from 1 to 4 p.m. at his home, 96 Cliffside Rd., in Casco. All who knew and loved Gary are welcome to attend and share memories.
