Seashore Trolley Museum is hosting the 27th annual Pumpkin Patch Trolley, taking place every Friday through Sunday from Friday, Sept. 26 through Sunday, Oct. 19, as well as on Indigenous Peoples’ Day, Monday, Oct. 13. The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., rain or shine.
Pumpkin Patch Trolley is a fall adventure designed for families and friends of all ages to enjoy. Organizers invite patrons to “come out to Kennebunkport to enjoy a 30-minute trolley ride on a heritage railway to the Pumpkin Patch.”
Each member in a group can select a pumpkin to take home (even the adults). Back at the museum’s Visitors Center, guests can paint their pumpkins and enjoy the Cookie Walk sponsored by Hannaford, photo scavenger hunt, craft room, festive fall photo backdrops across campus, and more. All of the activities are included in the price of admission.
Costumes are encouraged and a social media costume contest will take place following each event day and winners receive a free 2026 Family Membership to Seashore Trolley Museum.

Admission is $17 for adults, $15 for adults 60-plus and youth ages 6-16, $9 for children ages 3-5, and free for children ages 2 and younger. Tickets can be purchased in advance at pumpkintrolley.eventbrite.com.
Lunch will be available, provided by either a food truck or museum volunteers each event day. Check out the museum’s event webpage for the complete listing.
Event sponsors are Kennebunk Savings and Hannaford.
