Bonnie Beaudette Davis

WESTBROOK – Bonnie Beaudette Davis departed this earth on Sept. 5, 2025, with the unparalleled grace and dignity which were the hallmarks of her life.

Bonnie was born in Lewiston, Maine on August 5, 1958, to Clarence and Jacqueline Beaudette. Bonnie grew up in Jay, a granddaughter of French Canadian immigrants, she inherited strong a work ethic and values which guided her throughout her life.

One of the first in her family to go to college, she graduated from USM with a degree in Social Work in 1980. While she was promoted through the ranks at her career at UNUM and served as Assistant Vice President of Long Term Care Benefits, she never lost her true calling as a social worker. Her moral compass was unwavering. After retirement from UNUM, she brought her expertise in Long Term Care Planning consulting for Anton LeMieux Financial Group, providing a much needed resource for their clients. She found great joy in working with this team.

Gardening and cooking with her beloved husband Bill were her passions. A creative soul by nature, she enjoyed artistic endeavors, journaling, reading, painting and simply making any space she was in just that much better. Bonnie and Bill enjoyed traveling in Maine, particularly to Georgetown, and greatly appreciated the beauty our state offers.

A deeply faith-filled person, Bonnie believed in all paths to God. Her beliefs sustained her whether as a caregiver for her mother, her husband, and in her own personal health struggles with cancer during this past year. Her circle of friends treasured her counsel along with her ability to find humor to elevate even the lowest spirits.

She was predeceased by her parents, husband, Bill, and stepson Andy. She is survived by her stepchildren Christopher Davis, Jill Jandreau and husband Brian, Andy’s wife, Amber; and grandchildren Emily, Fiona and Finn. Bonnie’s most delightful role was being “Mimi” to her grandchildren. She is also is survived by her brother Robert and wife Lori; niece Kaelyn, nephews Garrett and Martin; cousin Dawn who was more like her sister; and her brother-in-law Fred, his wife and children. Bonnie deeply cherished her “family of choice” leaving many lifetime, close friends to mourn her passing.

Bonnie was a past board member of Hospice of Southern Maine during the time in which the idea of building Gosnell Memorial Hospice House was conceived. It is most fitting that the very place she helped to plan is the place where she spent her last days and was the recipient of the respect, grace, and care the staff provides.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday Sept. 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Bonnie’s home, 620 Cumberland Street (River Road) in Westbrook.
