Mark Fournier

MILBRIDGE – Sadly, Mark Fournier passed away in Milbridge on Aug. 15, 2025. He was 71 years old.

Mark was a graduate of St. Hyacinth Parochial School. He graduated from Westbrook High School where he was a track star.

Mark was a carpenter all his life. He owned his own business, Mark C. Fournier LLC. and built many beautiful homes that house many a family to this day. Fortunately for family and friends, we could always call on him with his trusty hammer and building skills. He was very generous and always shared his time to help anyone who needed him. His sisters still enjoy the swings he made for them.

Mark’s nickname by his siblings was “heartbeat of the family”. Once our parents passed, that’s what he became. He was a man of great Faith and loved his children beyond measure.

Mark was born in Westbrook and spent many years living in Portland. He would always be seen running the boulevard before work in the early mornings.

Mark was predeceased by his parents Louis and Marcella (Ledoux) Fournier; also, his brother Louis Fournier.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Sandra (Peterson) Fournier; his children, Louis Fournier, daughter, Rachael Fournier, (where he made his home at the time of his death) twins, Michael and Matthew Fournier; his beloved grandchildren, Lucy, Charlie, Tristan and Jordan; his siblings Yvonne Fournier Graffam (Ralph), Pauline Fournier Barrows (Paul), Helen Fournier Hoglund (Donald), Marie Fournier Adams (Peter), and brother, Jim Fournier; along with many nieces and nephews, who loved him very much. Mark was so proud of his siblings for “Raising The most beautiful families he has ever seen”.

I love you, Daddy. You are finally at peace. Watch over all of our children and I will always be thankful you were my father.

Where I’m bound, I can’t tell

Goodbye’s too good a word, babe

So, I’ll just say,

“Fare thee well”
