Singer-songwriter Heather Pierson is a pianist and song leader with a passion for cultivating joy both on stage and off, and this Friday, she will bring her trio to the historic Opera House in Boothbay Harbor.
Pierson’s forthcoming album, “Back To The Light,” is slated for a September release, and was recorded “live on the floor” at Acadia Recording Company in Portland with her Shawn Nadeau on bass and drummer Craig Bryan. This new album of originals pulsates throughout with the grooves of New Orleans, the beauty of Appalachia and Sunday-go-to-meeting celebration.
Pierson’s live performances featuring her bell-tone vocals and ease at the piano are infused with happiness, self-reflection and a genuine desire to connect and share from the heart. She takes this on tour across the U.S. with her partner Nadeau on bass and harmony vocals as Heather Pierson Duo, and with Bryan on drums and harmony vocals for the Heather Pierson Trio.
