Gary M. Kerns
BRUNSWICK – Gary M. Kerns, 78, passed away peacefully on Aug. 12, 2025, in Brunswick. Born on April 11, 1947 in Ellsworth, Gary lived a life marked by dedication, warmth, and a deep love for his family and community.
Gary shared 57 wonderful years of marriage with his beloved wife, Jeanne. Together they built a strong and loving family that was the center of Gary’s world. He is lovingly remembered by his children, daughter, Pam and her partner Stacy, daughter, Lori and her husband Jessie, and son, Donny and his wife Angela.
His legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, India and her husband Dan, Andrea, Nicholas, Paige, Liam; and great-grandchildren, Sparrow, Hemingway and Mello. Gary was also a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by his brother, Stephen and wife Terry, sister, Cheryl and husband Ron, and sister, Debbie and husband Russ.
Gary was predeceased by his parents Elliot and Wilda; as well as his brother, David and sister, Karen.
A proud Vietnam veteran, Gary served his country with honor and courage. Known for his generous spirit and unwavering kindness, Gary brought light and laughter wherever he went. His sense of humor and caring nature left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Gary found great joy in woodworking, his hands crafted many beautiful pieces and lasting memories. He loved friendly competition in games of horseshoe and cornhole, always filled with family and laughter.
Gary will be remembered for the love he gave so freely, the laughter he inspired so often, and the strength with which he lived each day. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him.
A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at the family’s home in Topsham in the near future.
