Christine Beverly (Eames) Pfeffer
FALMOUTH – Christine Beverly Eames Pfeffer, 96, longtime resident of Falmouth, passed away on July 14, 2025.
She was born on March 17, 1929, in West Paris, a daughter of Arnold R. and Beatrice (Martin) Eames. Christine lived in Newry until the age of 8, before her family moved to Falmouth. She graduated from Falmouth High School and worked at Porteous until she married Robert C. Pfeffer in September of 1951. They settled in Falmouth, raising their four daughters. After their youngest started school, Christine sold Avon for 11 years and belonged to a local bowling league. She later worked for the Boy Scout’s regional office in Portland.
Christine was a loving, devoted daughter, wife, mother, Nana, great-Nana, aunt and friend, staying in touch with family and friends with yearly Christmas letters, cards for special occasions with personal notes, and weekly phone calls to “check in”.
Christine was the last of her generation, being predeceased by her beloved husband, Bob; brothers Charles and Philip Eames and their wives; Bob’s four sisters and their husbands; son-in-law, Craig Moore; beloved granddaughter, Catherine Neal and great-granddaughter, Faith Grubb.
She is survived by four daughters, Karen Neal, Terri Moore, Robyn Pfeffer, and Tena Twomey (husband Dwayne); 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; along with dear friends Lois and Clint Plummer and Christine McLauflin.
A private graveside service will be held at Blanchard Cemetery in Falmouth. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m., on Aug. 16, at Falmouth Congregational Church parish hall, 267 Falmouth Rd., Falmouth.
