Jeanne M. Libby

BRUNSWICK – Beloved wife, mother, and friend, Jeanne M. Libby of Brunswick, and Vero Beach, Fla., passed away on June 26, 2025.

Jeanne was born on July 14, 1939, to William and Genevieve Bosang. Jeanne grew up in Norwalk, Conn. where she met her husband, Wayne G. Libby in middle school. She attended Westbrook Junior College and then married Wayne while he was attending University of Maine in Orono.

Following college, they relocated to Brunswick where Jeanne raised four children and worked for the Brunswick School Department.

Wayne and Jeanne were married for 64 years and had four children, Deborah Bachelder (George), David Libby (Phyllis), Daniel Libby (Tina) and Dennis Libby (Denise). Jeanne is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

A Remembrance Gathering will be held on Tuesday, July 1, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal St., Brunswick, ME 04011.
