Ruth and her husband Raymond McCrum married on July 15, 1951 in Long Beach, N.J. They lived on Church Road in Brunswick, where they raised their three children, James Loren McCrum, Karen Farnum, and Linda Paxman.
Ruth enjoyed working, loved her family, being in nature, and raising animals. She was an amazing woman, who offered so much to so many, did so much for so many by being present and listening in both Maine and in Missouri! Providing a strong and healthy female role model for many. Proving it possible to be a wife, a mom, and have a fulfilling career. Ruth was the only daughter of five brothers Dale, Bradford, twins Gerald and Glen Fawley. She grew up in Morgan Town, W.Va. Her mother and father were Alice Nancy Moris and James Bradford Fawley. She went to college, which inspired future female family members to pursue college educations. In her spare time, she enjoyed walking, dancing, nature, bird watching, camping, snowmobiling, canoeing, playing cards, teaching math, taking care of animals from dogs, chickens to horses and treating herself and visiting grandchildren or great-grandchildren to chocolate-covered graham crackers.
She was predeceased by her son, James Loren McCrum.
