Mary Ann (Johnson) Green
BRUNSWICK – Mrs. Mary Ann (Johnson) Green, 68, of Topsham passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at the VA Togus Medical Center. She is the loving wife of the late Thomas R. Green with whom she shared 29 years of marriage.
Mary Ann was born in the Philippines; she is the daughter of the late Robert and Caridad “Carrie” (Alcala) Johnson. She was a graduate of Brunswick High School Class of 1976. Mary Ann went on to further her education graduating from St. Josephs College.
Mary Ann was a proud Marine, where she met her beloved husband Tom who was also a Marine. She served with the United States Marines from 1980 to 1983. She held the rank of Corporal.
Mary Ann held many positions over the years. Some of her favorites were as a Civil Servant at Brunswick Naval Air Station and as an Office Administrator for Bath Iron Works and Edward Jones Investments.
She treasured the time she spent with her loving family. She enjoyed going to the Maine State Music Theater, reading and watching movies.
Mary Ann is survived by her two sons Samuel P. Green and Eric Green, both of Topsham; her sister Patricia Wilson and her husband Ian of Whitchurch, England, her two brothers Andy Johnson of Topsham and Joseph Johnson of Bowdoinham. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Mary Ann’s visiting hours will be in Stetson’s Funeral Home, 12 Federal Street, Brunswick, on Monday, June 16, from 5 – 7 p.m. Her Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 132 McKeen Street, Brunswick, on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at 11 a.m.. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Brunswick.
Arrangements and guidance are in the care of Stetson’s Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 12 Federal Street, Brunswick, Maine.
