Ronald Gene Noragon

TOPSHAM – Ronald Gene Noragon, 73, died May 29, 2025, at Maine Medical Center.

He was born in Sturgis, Mich., on Aug. 5, 1951, the son of Robert and Doris Chapman Noragon. He graduated from Sturgis High School, class of 1969. He married Margaret Ann Bois in Brunswick on May 2, 1981. He served in the U.S. Navy for 20 years from 1970 to 1990.

After his career military service, he became a dispatcher for the Bath Police Department and the Sagadahoc County Dispatchers office, retiring on 2013.

He was a car enthusiast and adored dogs. He enjoyed fishing, coin collecting and was always ready for a good game of trivia. Ron was always armed with his dry sense of humor and quick wit. Most of all, Ron loved his family, especially his grandson Liam who always brought a smile to Ron’s face.

He was predeceased by his parents; a brother-in-law, Dave Herman.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Margaret Noragon of Topsham; a daughter Sarah Elizabeth Ouellette and husband Mark of Hayes, Va.; a son Matthew Alexander Noragon of Topsham; a grandson, Liam Mason Ouellette of Hayes, Va.; four sisters: Sharon Walls and husband Chris of Colon, Mich.; Linda Norton and husband Mike of Colon, Mich.; Deborah Trompetter and husband Rob of Coldwater, Mich.; Julie Wirgau and husband Steve of Colon, Mich.; Several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to visit 5-8 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the Brackett Funeral Home, 29 Federal Street, Brunswick. A prayer service will follow 10 a.m., Friday, June 6, at the funeral home. Interment will be scheduled for a later date in Maine Veterans Cemetery, Augusta.
