PORTLAND – Karen A. Furey, 60, passed away on Jan. 1, 2025, at her home in Portland. Karen was born in the Bronx, N.Y. on April 28, 1964, she is the daughter of Michael and Sarah (Conneely) Furey.
Karen grew up in the Bronx, N.Y. and in 1970 her family moved to Ireland for two years before settling in Portland. She attended Catherine McAuley High School and graduated in 1982. Karen had a long career with an environmental company.
Karen was predeceased by her father, Michael Furey Jr.; and sister, Catherine Ormmond.
She is survived by her mother, Sarah Furey; sisters Mary Ellen Pallozzi and Theresa Yarnold; and extended family members living in Carnmore, Anbally, and Galway, Ireland.
