Abby Lennox, Greely’s dynamic senior, who scored two goals in the Rangers’ 3-1 win over Hermon in the Class B state final, announced Wednesday at a ceremony at the high school that she will attend and play soccer at Division II Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire next year.

“I’m really glad that I’m given an opportunity to play another four years in college,” said Lennox, who plans to study biology and wants to become a physician’s assistant. “I’m really excited for what the future brings and really grateful for the all the people who got to be here today. My grandparents, my friends, my family, everyone. There were definitely other schools on the radar, but I knew that Saint A’s had the academics and athletics and the group of people that I was looking for. I can look forward to preparing myself to be the best soccer player I can be.

“The last week has been unreal. It’s been more than I could ever ask for. I’ve been on cloud nine since (the regional final).”
