One of the many joys of living in Portland, for me, is having a yearly subscription to the Portland Symphony Orchestra concerts. Their artistry astounds me.
This past Sunday was no exception. Featured was their first chair French horn player, Lauren Winter, who played flawlessly. The French horn is a very difficult instrument to play well, as I know from having played one in high school. I never got past second chair but truly enjoyed the opportunity of playing with a few bands and orchestras.
So, kudos to Ms. Winter and the PSO for providing so much joy to classical music lovers in our community.
