AWARDS AND HONORS
Bates College, Lewiston: Paul Phillips of New Gloucester and Anna Turner of Brunswick have been named Dana Scholars, the highest academic honor for first-year students. Carleton College, Northfield, Minn.: Camille Braun of Cape Elizabeth was named to the college’s chapter of the Mortar Board National Honor Society, which recognizes outstanding achievement in scholarship, leadership and service.
Colby-Sawyer College, New London, N.H.: Olivia Jones of Biddeford was recently inducted into the college’s chapter of Alpha Chi, a national honor society for academic excellence and exemplary character. Sonia Diaz Rodriguez of Scarborough has been selected as an inaugural member of the Presidential Blue Key Society. An induction ceremony was held Oct. 17.
St. Lawrence University, Canton, N.Y.: Meghan Doiron of Scarborough has been selected for membership in the college’s chapter of Psi Chi, an international psychology honorary society.
Western New England University, Springfield, Mass.: Alexandria Dean of Lewiston was recently named a recipient of the Skookum Award, given for excellence in academics, co-curricular activities, sports and community service.
