Guelord Balekelayi was hired at Opus Consulting as a consultant, with a background in accounting and finance.
Alison Frazee has been named Greater Portland Landmarks’ upcoming director of advocacy, to start her position in January. She previously was executive director at Boston Preservation Alliance.

Claudia Meyer-Maaseidvaag joined the Homeless Animal Rescue Team, or HART of Maine, a shelter for cats, as its new shelter manager. Prior to coming to Maine, she was manager of lifesaving at the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Giving back
Evergreen Credit Union raised over $18,000 at its annual Disc Golf Scramble at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester. All event proceeds go to the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger.
Recognition
Preble Street, a nonprofit social service agency, awarded Greg Payne, senior adviser in housing policy at the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future, with its Force for Good Award. The award was presented during the organization’s Conference on Homelessness: Solutions Start with ME by Michelle Ducas, a tenant of the Huston Commons Site-based Housing First program, and Mark Swann, executive director of Preble Street.
