Thomas Welch
DENMARK – Thomas Welch, 42, of Denmark, passed away unexpectedly in a motorcycle accident on Sept. 30, 2024.
Born in Bridgton on June 1, 1982, Tom lived his life with a heart full of kindness and generosity. He was always there for family and friends, ready to lend a hand or offer support whenever needed. His thoughtful, giving spirit left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Tom had an incredible mind, deeply curious about how things worked and gifted with a mechanic’s intuition. While spelling was never his strong suit, he had a talent for numbers and an agile intellect that allowed him to solve problems in creative ways. He was fascinated by science fiction and loved exploring new ideas, always thinking ahead and pushing the boundaries of what could be done.
He was a man in constant motion, filled with an energy that touched everything around him. Whether swimming or working outdoors, Tom was happiest when active, thriving in the freedom of the open air and the excitement of new challenges. He was a force of nature—dynamic, unstoppable, and always on the go.
Tom is survived by his loving mother, Sunni Martin, his father, Kevan Welch, his stepmother, Jayne Condon; his sister, Kyla Brustin, and his stepsister, Melina Martin.
A celebration of Tom’s life will be held on Oct. 19, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Denmark Arts Center.
Arrangements are in the care of the Hall Funeral Home in Casco where condolences and tributes may be shared at http://www.hallfuneralhome.net.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to a charity of your choice, in Tom’s honor.
