PORTLAND – Florence M. Barstow, 73, of Portland, passed away Sunday Oct. 6, 2024 at the Maine Medical Center following a period of declining health.
She was born in Portland on Jan. 2, 1951 the daughter of the late Frederick and Shurly (Hussey) Barstow, and has resided in this area for most of her life.
Florence will be remembered for being kind, friendly and appreciative and for finding joy in simple pleasures.
She is survived by her daughter, Shawna Harris and husband Christopher; a grandson Alexander; a brother, Carlton Barstow and his wife Pamella, a sister, Katherine Sullivan and her husband Joseph, a sister-in-law, Jo Ann Barstow; and several cousins; nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Amy Harris; and a brother, Maurice A. Barstow.
Visiting hours will be Thurs. Oct. 10 at 10 a.m. at Dolby, Blais and Segee Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook. The funeral will follow after visitation at 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the family plot in Brooklawn Cemetery, Portland.
