So happy to read the Sept. 15 Vegan Kitchen article (“Spotlight from this election season shines on vegetarian issues“), which tells of the dabbling of presidential candidates in veganism.
There is hope of total respect for other species who share planet Earth with people and not being eaten by them. Being a healthy vegan for over 65 years, I know the end to violence and wars happens when people get civilized and stop eating animals and their body products.
I have renewed faith now being a candidate on the ballot from Kittery to the state House of Representatives, where I can work for accommodation, inclusion, rights, peace and respect for all Maine’s species, not just the human sort.
It’s year 2024 and we must update to evolution.
