I voted for Biden in the primary because his was the only name on the ballot. I wished then that we had someone else, someone younger. Now I desperately wish it.
The vote for Biden in the primary was not a choice, and I resent that he says he is staying in for those voters. I urge fellow Democrats to make themselves heard. We need an open convention both to get some excitement into the race and to give everyone — Independents, the young, minorities, disaffected Republicans — someone they want to vote for.
Biden has a good record, but he is no longer up to the job, and his delusion of winning is misguided. It’s not about him; it’s about our children, our grandchildren and the current decline of democracy here and abroad.
