Loretta F. Zemla

WESTBROOK – Loretta F. Zemla, 75, passed away Tuesday Oct. 10, 2023, peacefully in her sleep.

She was born April 15, 1948 in Portland, the daughter of Frank and Philomena (Caiazzo) Fowler, graduated from Old Orchard Beach High School and has resided in this area all of her life.

She was a devoted mother of four and grandmother of six and a loving sibling to two brothers and extended family.

Members of her family include her husband of 53 years, Rick Zemla; three daughters, Tammy Hansen and her husband, Joe, of Gorham, Christine Bishop and her husband, Jeff, of Gorham and Cheryl Zemla Talbot and her significant other, Matt Doiron, of Gorham; six grandchildren, Ryan McMullen and his wife, Alexandria, Taylor Hansen, Joey Hansen, Emily Storm and her husband, Max, Kaitlyn Talbot and Jacob Zemla; two brothers, Frank Fowler and his wife, Laurie, of Portland and Gary Fowler and his wife, Nancy, of Windham; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Eric Zemla; sister, Anna Ross; and mother and father.

Visiting hours will be Friday Oct. 20 from 4-7 p.m. at the Westbrook Chapel of Dolby, Blais and Segee Funeral Home, 35 Church St., Westbrook where the funeral will be held Saturday Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Tim Higgins officiating. Burial will be in Mayberry Cemetery in Windham at a later date.
