SACO – David L. Kimball, 78, formerly of Saco passed away Tuesday Oct. 3, 2023, at St. Josephs Manor in Portland. He was born Sept. 25, 1945, in Biddeford the son of Leroy and Arline Hatch Kimball.

David attended local schools and graduated from Thornton Academy.

David served in the U.S. Navy and after his service he worked for Journal Tribune. David was later employed Fairchild Semiconductor .

For many years, David was a master model builder, making military ships and planes while making villages for model trains.

David was a member of the Saco Jaycees and enjoyed playing guitar before his stroke.

He is predeceased by his wife Sonya Kimball, a sister Sandra Morin and a nephew Robert Worthing.

Survivors include a son David Kimball of Waterboro and a daughter Shelly Hollow of Salem, Mass., three sisters, Catherine Constantinou of Saco, Carol Noble of Waterboro and Judith Dickenson of Kennebunk, two grandchildren and nephews and nieces.

A memorial service outside of mass will be held Wednesday October 11, 2023 at 12 p.m., noon, at the Springvale Veterans Cemetery, Stanley Road, Springvale.
