Mother Nature’s going to deliver a sub-par gift for Dad. Another pesky, upper-level low like the ones that have plagued us on and off for weeks will return to Maine with persistent clouds and showers.
The coast has the best shot at not seeing widespread rain today, but expect showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon.
Conditions will worsen fast by Saturday as the previously mentioned upper-level low moves in from the west.
The storm will bring clouds and showers statewide Saturday into Sunday.
As a matter of fact, it will be quite difficult to escape the rain in Maine this weekend. I do not expect flooding, but a dry window will be a challenge all weekend long.
Temperatures won’t hit the mark either, with numbers falling as we get deeper into the weekend and kick off next week.
