Leo is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Arline (Moreau) Cantin who he married in 1971, daughter Candy (Cantin) Patch and her husband Lucas Patch, daughter Christy (Cantin) Grugnale and her husband Aaron Grugnale, granddaughter Chantel Grugnale Gorton and her husband Rick Gorton, grandson Aaron Grugnale Jr., granddaughter Courtney Grugnale, great-grandson Ryder Aaron Grugnale, brothers David Cantin and wife Taunia Cantin, Charlie Cantin, Lloyd Cantin, sister Corrine Cantin, and one niece and four nephews.

In later years, he and his wife ran their own business as A&L Distributors for several years, and before retiring he worked for Central Maine Power as a service journey worker.

He was a man that lived an adventurous life, who served in the Army National Guard, and enjoyed a quiet life at the camp. He was someone who could light up a room with his sense of humor, supported those around him, and who always put family first. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a very special man who will leave behind a positive impact on the world.

A burial service is to be held on June 16, at Notre Dame Cemetery at noon. Per his wishes, a party will be held in his honor at the American Legion immediately following the service.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, you consider donating to your local blood bank or becoming
