I wish people would worry a little more about living, breathing humans already here than fetuses, the vast majority of which have not reached viability outside the womb. It seems like there is much uproar over what a woman does with her body and little about children being shot, children living in abject poverty and on and on.
Abortion is not something people do on a whim. Physicians should not be in fear of jail, or worse, for saving a woman’s life.
Decisions about care should be made by a woman and her doctor, not by lawmakers and rabid religious fanatics. Stopping legal abortions does not save lives – it causes abortion to go back underground.
