The Rev. Harold “Bucky” Ralston Sr., 79, of Wells, passed away May 10, 2023. He was born June 13, 1943 in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania, to Frances Walter and Elverta (Walstrom) Ralston.
Bucky attended Miracle Valley Bible College in Arizona. He was a truck driver since the age of 16 and a Bishop of the Church of God since 1980. He married Bonnie M. Lafferty Aug. 26, 1963.
Bucky loved to tell jokes to make people laugh and smile. He was very religious and extremely devoted to his family. He had an adventurous spirit and loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, playing horseshoes, RVing, and camping.
Bucky was preceded in death by his parents, Frances and Elverta Ralston and brother, Mike Ralston. He is survived by: his wife of 59 years, Bonnie Ralston of Wells; children, Chip Ralston of Texas, Peggy Hill of Arundel, and her significant other Bob Bourque of Dayton, and Jimmy Ralston and his wife, Alyssa of Texas; siblings, Allan Ralston and his wife, Dolores of Pennsylvania, Bob Ralston and his wife, Betty of Pennsylvania, Kay Lender and her husband, Alton of Pennsylvania, Sam Ralston of New Jersey, and Janice Boyke and her husband, Paul of North Carolina; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 19, 2023, and from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Bibber Memorial Chapel, 67 Summer St., Kennebunk. A funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Bibber Memorial Chapel followed by interment at Pine Hill Cemetery in Wells.
