A proposed hotel is in development at 205 Southborough Drive by Opechee Construction Corporation. The 113-room hotel will be 44-feet tall with four stories and feature amenities such as a sitting lounge, fitness room, and outdoor patio.

The hotel will feature 137 new parking spaces to be constructed in the area, 114 of which to be assigned to the hotel.

David Sherborne, an architect from Opechee Construction Corporation, met with the Scarborough Planning Board on April 24 for a site plan review.

The meeting follows others that have progressed the project, such as town staff and fire department consultations last October and securing various permits. The town is still in back-and-forth discussions with the Opechee Construction Corporation to make further changes and improvements. The planning board has approved the project’s continued progression.

More communication and meetings are planned with the town and other experts before construction.
