‘Cinderella’ at Lakes Region High School
The drama program at Lake Region High School presents their interpretation of the classic fairy tale, Cinderella, starting next week. The show opens at 7 p.m. Friday, March 31. There will be performances on Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2, as well as the following weekend, April 7-9. Experiential learning discussion
Two courses on “Experiential Education and Outdoor Experiential Learning” will take place at the Magic Lantern Innovation Center, 9 Depot St., on Sunday, March 26, and Sunday, April 2. The courses are open to educators and members of the community. On March 26, Molly Ockett School Principal Mark Schrader will discuss developing hands-on learning experiences and ways to increase student involvement, motivation, curiosity and teamwork. The following Sunday, Bill Kane of the Kane Outdoor Schools will share his years of experience in outdoor teaching, including protecting health and safety in a variety of situations. K and pre-K registration
It’s time to register children for kindergarten and apply for Pre-K programs. Parents and guardians of children who will be 5 years old on or before Oct. 15, 2023, can register them for kindergarten; children who will be 4 years old on or before Oct. 15 are eligible for pre-K. Registration forms are available at lakeregionschools.org and should be filled out and returned to Stevens Brook Elementary School, 14 Frances Bell Drive, Bridgton, by Monday, March 27. Screening appointments, which are required by law, will take place in April and can be scheduled by calling Mrs. Lesure at 647-5675 or emailing marybeth.lesure@lakeregionschools.org.
