Shirley G. Bartlett

SACO – Shirley G. Bartlett, 86, of North Street passed away Tuesday Feb. 28, 2023 in Saco. She was born in Biddeford Feb. 20, 1937, the daughter of Forrest and Pearl Weeman Gerry.

She attended Saco schools and Thornton Academy, graduating from Biddeford High School in 1955. In 1961, she married the love of her life, Mel and they lived in Arundel for many years.

Shirley obtained her Real Estate Brokers license in the 1970’s and practiced in the Southern Maine area for many years.

Shirley and Mel enjoyed dancing, horses, going to Casinos and traveling to Europe, Alaska, Las Vegas and wintering in Florida.

Shirley was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Mel, in 2022. She is survived by a daughter Tami Bartlett of Saco; a sister Barbara Mangrum of California; and many nephews and nieces.

Visiting hours are to beheld Monday March 6, 2023 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home 365 Main St, Saco.

Private family burial will be held in the Spring at Meetinghouse Hill Cemetery in Hollis, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Mel.

A celebration of her life will be announced in July with a reception to follow at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral ome 13 Portland Rd, Bar Mills Maine.
