BIDDEFORD — Susan E. LeGallee, 81, lifelong resident of Biddeford Pool and lately of Dental Avenue, Biddeford, passed away at home on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2023.
She was born July 25, 1941, in Biddeford the daughter of Helen (Wheeler) and Harry A LeGallee Jr.
Sue attended Biddeford schools and graduated from Biddeford High school.
She went on to study nursing in Salem, Massachusetts. Sue worked pediatrics at Webber Hospital, SMMC, and later at local nursing homes, before she finished in private duty.
Sue cooked and volunteered at community suppers, and entered her award-winning quilts, crafts and baked goods in county and state fairs. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, sewing, baking and making dolls, and was devoted to her pets.
Susan attended United Baptist Church of Saco and Union Church of Biddeford Pool. She was also a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Annette Chapter #184.
She is survived by: her nephew, William LeGallee and spouse Matt Foust: niece, Lynn LeGallee; and great-niec, ,Briana Lamontagne; and cousins, Robert Weitzel, David Weitzel and Caroline (Weitzel) Garner.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday Feb. 26, 2023 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, 365 Main St., Saco.
