Seashore Trolley Museum invites patrons to take an adventure to Kennebunkport this holiday season for Christmas Prelude trolley rides.
Operating Friday-Sunday Dec. 2-4 and Dec. 9-11, visitors will be treated to a wintry ride on the museum’s heritage railway aboard heated trolleys decked out in live holiday greens and lights. Back at the Visitors Center, hot chocolate, holiday craft activities for kids and kids at heart, roasting marshmallows and s’mores, and a gingerbread house modeled after our Visitors Center and trolleys are on display.
Santa will be on campus and available for photos during the following dates and times: Sunday, Dec. 4 from 3 to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 10 and Sunday, Dec. 11 from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5:30 p.m.
Tickets are $12/person and children ages 2 and younger are admitted free.
The event will be held rain, light snow or shine. Due to COVID-19, the museum is only selling a limited amount of tickets for each trolley departure time to prevent over-crowding. A Mobilift will be available to help guests with mobility challenges access the trolleys.
Seashore Trolley Museum’s heritage railway is approximately 3 miles from downtown Kennebunkport and does not connect with downtown Kennebunkport. Its trolleys are the real deal and operate on a railroad, not paved roads.
The event is expected sell out so purchasing tickets in advance is recommended. To purchase tickets, visit https://christmastrolley.eventbrite.com.
