Portland police are searching for three men accused of robbing a man of his cash at gunpoint in a backyard on Popham Street in Sagamore Village just after 6 p.m. Tuesday.
Police Lt. Gary Hutcheson said police are searching for three white males believed to be in their late teens or early 20s, all of whom may be armed. No further descriptions of the men were available.
Police searched a nearby residence where they believed the men might be, but found no evidence of their presence, Hutcheson said.
The men may have fled toward Brighton Avenue, he said.
After a separate robbery Tuesday night, police are also searching for two men accused of committing armed robbery at the Family Dollar store at 52 Riverside St.
