People looking to register to vote, pick up an absentee ballot or fill it out on the spot may take advantage of upcoming extra hours in Biddeford, Saco, and Old Orchard Beach.
On Saturday, Oct. 29, the Town Clerk’s Office at Town Hall in Old Orchard Beach will be open 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for voter registration, absentee voting, or other tasks usually done at the office, such as vital records, hunting licenses and the like, said Town Clerk Kim McLaughlin. People may also register to vote or cast an absentee ballot at the town hall during regular business hours, 8-4 p.m. Monday through Friday and until 6 p.m. on Tuesdays.
Voting on Nov. 8 will be 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Old Orchard Beach High School, 40 E. Emerson Cummings Blvd.
In Biddeford, the City Clerk’s Office will be open until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022, for absentee voting, new voter registrations and name and address changes. People are asked to use the Main Street entrance to access city hall after 4 p.m. Voter registration and absentee voting is also available during regular business hours, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays and Tuesdays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays. Biddeford City Hall is closed on Fridays.
On Nov. 8, voting will be 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Tiger Gym, Biddeford High School, Maplewood Avenue.
In Saco, the City Clerk’s Office will be open extra hours — until 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3 for voter registration and absentee voting. People may also register and vote absentee during regular business hours, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
On Nov. 8, voting will be 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Linnell Gym, Thornton Academy, 438 Main St.
Nov. 3 is the last day voters may request an absentee ballot. All absentee ballots must be returned to the city or town clerk by 8 p.m. on Nov. 8.
