Anne Gass is running as an independent representing House District 104, New Gloucester and part of Gray. Anne has a can-do attitude and has spent countless hours volunteering her time to lead children’s plays and learning groups, and also on the school board and Town Council.
Anne showed her empathy for others when she opened her home to a young person affected by tragedy. She also has worked for affordable housing and healthy pedestrian/bike access for residents.
She is a good listener and wants to hear what you have to say.
Anne believes in equal rights for women, unlike her opponent who voted against prohibiting discrimination based on sex.
Anne’s positive energy, fiscal practicality and dedication are what we need to represent us in Augusta.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
