Helping hands for horses
A fundraiser to benefit Hearts and Horses Riding Center will be held from 1-8 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the center, 63 Justin Merrill Road, Buxton.
Bands Behind the Barn will feature live music, raffles, food trucks and games.
Hearts and Horses offers therapeutic riding programs for those with emotional difficulties, learning disabilities and cognitive challenges.
Pre-sale tickets are $10 for adults and $20 for families at eventbrite.com. Tickets are $15 and $25 at the gate.

PTO meeting
The Parent/Teacher Organization at Buxton Center Elementary School, 912 Long Plains Road, will meet for the first time this school year at 6:30 p.m. at the school. For more information call 929-3836.
