LEWISTON – Stanley A. LeCours, 82, died Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, at Central Maine Medical Center. He was born in Nobleboro on July 14, 1940, the son of Edward LeCours, and Doris (Watson) Vachon.
Stan served in the United States Airforce. He worked for Portland Fire Alarm and retired as chief fire alarm dispatcher, after 30 years. He said he was very lucky to go to work everyday at a job he loved. He also worked for Shaw’s Supermarket (the Pinetree and Westbrook Stores) and if he hadn’t had to retire for health reasons, he would still be doing price changes. Stan took pride in being a hard worker and standing by his word. Stan loved trains, and the Red Sox.
Stan is survived by his sweetheart, Deborah Emerson; his son, Dale LeCours; brother, Phillip LeCours, sisters Grace Newdick, Jean Masker and her partner, Al; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Edward LeCours, sisters Yvonne Chapman and Linda Paul.
