Once again, Sen. Susan Collins failed to represent the majority of Maine citizens.
Her refusal to vote for the Inflation Reduction Act, which promises, among other things, to substantially boost financial support for limiting the effects of climate warming, shows a total disregard toward her constituents. Putting her party before what most Mainers actively support, i.e., a government willing to engage in leadership on climate legislation, demonstrates at best a tin ear and at worst an alliance with a party working to defeat any progress accredited to President Biden.
Thank goodness the bill passed without her vote.
