For a number of years, Sen. Susan Collins has boasted, on Facebook, of her commitment to lowering the price of insulin.
Yet when it came to voting for a reconciliation bill that included a $35 insulin cap for those who have private insurance, she voted “no.” It is perplexing and beyond understanding why she would have done this. It is also disturbing that it is more and more apparent that she votes straight Republican – whatever Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell says – regardless of its impact on her Maine constituents.
Unfortunately, she never holds in-person town halls so we can question her. But she really owes Maine an answer. Who is she representing – Maine or Kentucky?
