Games notes: South Portland is looking for its first baseball state championship since the statewide playoff system was enacted in 1970. The Red Riots won state titles in 1948, 1949 and 1950. Bangor is seeking its second straight title (the Rams beat Windham 8-0 last year) and 11th overall. Bangor is 35-4 over the last two seasons.

Game notes: Greely hopes to win back-to-back state championships for the first time. These same two schools played in the 1999 Class B final, won by Greely, 3-2. The Rangers are seeking their sixth state title. Camden Hills has strong pitching depth, with a staff ERA below 2.00. The Windjammers won their first six games and had a 7-1 record midway through the season, but won just twice in the remaining eight games of the regular season before getting hot in the playoffs.
