The Kennebunk Fire Department has extinguished a car fire in the median of the Maine Turnpike around Mile 31 in Biddeford.

As of 9:45 Friday morning northbound traffic on the turnpike was experiencing delays. Southbound traffic was flowing smoothly by the scene.

State police say they are not aware of any injuries.
