Two separate motor vehicles crashes on Sunday took down utility poles in Portland, according to the Police Department.
One crash happened on Stevens Avenue, said police spokesman David Singer. There were no injuries in the single-vehicle crash, he said.
The second crash happened at the intersection of Marginal Way and Forest Avenue, Singer said. The damaged utility pole remains at the crash site. Police have put down flashing yellow lights to caution motorists to be careful driving in the area until the pole can be cleared, Singer said.
He said he wasn’t sure if there were any injuries in the Marginal Way crash. It also involved only one vehicle, he said.
Both crashes are under investigation, police said.
