Cumberland police are looking for information about signs that have been vandalized in town parks over the past year.
In most of the approximately half dozen cases the signs have been removed from their posts and thrown into the woods or brush, Police Chief Charles Rumsey said, with one sign stolen from Broad Cove.
The most recent incident was at Twin Brook Recreation Area at 185 Tuttle Road, where a metal sign was taken down and thrown into the brush last week.
Rumsey said he hopes by appealing to the public the behavior will stop or someone with knowledge of the incidents will contact the police at 207-829-6391.
