It took about three hours for firefighters from Maine and New Hampshire to control a brush fire that broke out Sunday afternoon near a skydiving facility in Lebanon.

A dispatcher for the York County Communications Center said the fire burned just over an acre of land on Skydive Lane, the road that Skydive New England is located on.

Local firefighting crews were assisted by crews from Milton, New Hampshire. Lebanon is located on the Maine-New Hampshire border.

The brush fire was reported around 5 p.m. Firefighting crews cleared the scene around 8 p.m.
