Responding to a report of a possible overturned boat Saturday afternoon, the Coast Guard discovered only a mass of seaweed in the waters off Old Orchard Beach.

Coast Guard officials said the got a call about a possible overturned boat around 3 p.m. , but a vessel dispatched to the area found a large mass of yellowish seaweed.
