1. Kennebunk: After losing in the Western Class B final, the Rams will look to take the next step this season with a team that’s strong in the midfield and at attack. The defense will look to make up for the loss of four starters who graduated.
2. Marshwood: The Hawks return nine starters from a team that advanced to the Western Class A semifinals. Marshwood will be led by midfielder Lindsey Poirier, a four-year starter who scored 42 goals last season, and midfielder Korinne Bohunsky, who was the second-leading scorer with 27 goals.
3. Yarmouth: The Clippers will have a young team but will look to their six seniors for leadership as they seek to defend their Class B state championship.
4. Massabesic: The Mustangs return goalie Megan Hill and state championship game hero Karlie Pike from a team that outlasted Cheverus in three overtimes to win the Class A title.
5. Cheverus: The reigning Eastern Class A champion should be in the hunt again. Senior Abby Biegel leads a potent offense.
