Opening day for South Portland National Little League is 11 a.m. Saturday, May 2. Activities for the kids include face painting, speed pitch and refreshments. There will be a barbecue that starts at noon, and is free for all players and coaches. Softball and baseball games will be played following the opening ceremonies to kick off the season.
