FAIRFIELD — Police have identified the woman found dead Wednesday afternoon at the end of a driveway as Kylee Phillips, 21, of Fairfield.
Fairfield police said Thursday they had notified members of Phillips’ family, who also live in Fairfield, of her death.
Public Information Officer Casey Dugas of the Fairfield Police Department said an autopsy had been conducted on Phillips. While medical examiners said they did not have the cause of death, Dugas said, there was no sign of foul play.
Fairfield police and Fairfield and Benton Fire-Rescue received a call at 2:43 p.m. Wednesday about an unresponsive woman at the end of the caller’s driveway on Martin Stream Road, according to officials.
Police Officer Matthew Bard arrived first and attempted to administer aid, according to Dugas. Members of the Fairfield Fire Department then arrived and determined Phillips was dead.
Phillips’ body was taken to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta.
Officials are asking anyone who saw a woman walking Wednesday on Martin Stream Road to call the Fairfield Police Department at 207-453-9321.
Police said Thursday there was no indication the public was in danger related to Phillips’ death.
